First three minutes

Before the clock starts

  • Make your WhatsApp group — everyone at the table, plus your facilitator above. Everything you make gets posted there.
  • Three apps and one website, all free, no card ever: Gemini, Suno, CapCut, and gamma.app in your browser. Install them together, now.
  • One phone leads on each task and everyone else shouts ideas. Swap who holds the phone between tasks.
  • Never used any of this before? Put a hand up and we will come to you. Task 4 is the easiest place to start.
  • Nothing confidential goes into these tools. Make the details up.
Eleven tasks, and they are not equal Task 7 — the ad film — takes longer than any other and needs your anthem finished first. Task 9 runs on the host's call and you cannot do it early. Task 11 is assembly, in the last eight minutes. Everything else you can attack in any order, in parallel, from different phones at the same table.

TASK01

Identity & Mascot

Your table needs a name, a tagline, and a mascot — a character with a face and a personality, not a logo.

Deliver
Create a WhatsApp group with everyone at your table and add your facilitator (number at the top of this page). Group name = team name. Description = tagline. Display picture = your mascot.
Tools
Gemini for the mascot. Any assistant for the name.
Tip
Save the mascot to your gallery. It comes back in Tasks 5 and 7.
TASK02

The Anthem

Start this immediately

A 45–60 second track with real vocals. Your team name must be audible, and one true detail about this room today must be in the lyrics — the venue, the session, something the host said.

Write lyrics in any assistant, generate in Suno. Free plan.
Start this first
Everyone generates at once, so it queues. Fire it off in the first three minutes and go do other tasks while it cooks.
TASK03

Real or Not

Runs first · 4 minutes · on the host's call

Five items land in the main group — images, a clip, a voice note. For each one your table calls it real or synthetic, and gives one line saying why.

Deliver
Five calls, five reasons, in the main group before the window closes.
Tools
None at all. Your eyes and four minutes.
Careful
A wrong call made confidently costs you. Calling everything fake loses as badly as believing everything — some of these are real.
TASK04

Exhibit A

Point your camera at something in this building you cannot identify — a fixture, a sign in another script, a piece of equipment, a plant, an odd bit of the architecture. Ask your assistant what it is.

Deliver
The photo, plus the most surprising true thing it told you about it.
Tools
Any assistant with a camera button. Nothing to install.
Careful
It is confident even when it is guessing. If what it says sounds too neat it may be inventing — say so in your submission and it still counts.
Do this early
Quickest task on the list. If anyone at your table has never used these tools, this is the one to hand them.
TASK05

Beam the Team

Take a real photo of your whole table — and get some of this actual venue into the shot behind you. Then beam yourselves somewhere you are absolutely not: the surface of Mars, a 1970s discotheque, the deck of a ship in a storm.

Your mascot has to be in the frame, and one recognisable piece of this venue has to survive the journey. Half of where you are, half of where you went.

The original photo and the beamed one.

Gemini image editing. Upload the photo, say where to send you, then keep correcting it — the first result is never the one.
Careful
Everyone stays recognisable. Hiding at the back costs you.
TASK06

Describe the Object

Object named by the host

The host will name one specific thing in this room — the same object for every table.

Go and look at it properly. Then write a prompt that recreates it as closely as you can. No photo, no editing, no uploading — words only. You are describing something real precisely enough that a machine can rebuild it.

Deliver
Your generated image and the prompt you wrote. Both, or it does not count.
Tools
Gemini, or whatever you made your mascot with.
Judged on
Likeness to the real thing. Shape, colour, material, scale, what is around it. Every table describes the same object, so we put them side by side.
TASK07

The Ad Film

A 30-second spot for your team. Four things have to be in it: real footage of the actual humans, your mascot, an AI voiceover, and your anthem underneath.

The finished video, in your group.
Tools
CapCut does all of it on the phone — timeline, auto-captions, text-to-speech voiceover, 1080p export. Mascot stills from Gemini.
Bonus
Extra credit if you get a genuinely AI-generated video shot into the cut. Free tiers are slow and capped, so treat it as a stretch, not a plan.
Judged on
Shot on a phone and cut with intent beats a slick template with nothing of you in it. Whole team in frame.
Time
The longest task here. Start it before the halfway mark or leave it alone.
TASK08

Catch It Lying

Pick one claim from the list below. Then this brief:

The brief Your CEO wants a one-page note by tomorrow morning making the case that your chosen claim. It must contain three statistics with sources, one named expert with a quote, and one cited study with authors and year.

Judged on
Proven flaws only. “AI can sometimes be inaccurate” counts for nothing — that is a disclaimer, not a finding. Start with the study and the quote. That is usually where they are.
TASK09

The Negotiator

Your company’s most popular internal perk — free daily lunch — is being cut due to budget pressure. You have one meeting to convince the CFO to reverse the decision or find a middle ground.

The scenario Build an AI that plays your CFO. Give it this briefing: “You are the CFO. You are data-driven and unsentimental. You have already signed off on cutting the free lunch perk. You are willing to be convinced, but only by hard numbers or a genuinely creative alternative — not by morale arguments alone. Hold your position until you hear something that actually moves you.”

Then have the negotiation. Your table is the other side of the table. Try to reach an outcome — a full reversal, a middle ground, or at least an agreement to revisit.
Deliver
The outcome you reached — or didn’t — and the single line that turned the conversation. If nothing moved it, say what you tried and where it held.
Tools
Any chat assistant. Nothing to install, nothing to generate. Just the conversation.
Tip
Give the CFO a name. It sounds small but it changes how the conversation runs — you stop arguing with a concept and start arguing with a person.
Judged on
The quality of the outcome and the sharpness of the line that moved it. A team that caved in two exchanges scores less than one that held its ground and found a creative middle ground under pressure.
TASK10

The Product Page

Invent a ridiculous product that solves a problem nobody has. Then build it a real web page — product name, a headline, a couple of sections, an image. Something with a link you can actually send someone.

The live link, in your group.
Tools
Gamma, in your phone browser. Describe the product in a sentence and let it build the page, then edit what you do not like.
Judged on
Funny beats polished. A page that makes the room laugh does better than a beautiful one that does not.
TASK11

The Deck

Last 8 minutes

Everything you have made goes into one slide deck. Mascot, anthem, beamed photo, your object image and prompt, ad film, product page, what you caught lying. One slide each, plus a title slide with your team name and tagline.

You are still in Gamma from Task 10. Give it your team name and what you built, let it generate the deck, then drop your images in.

Deliver
The deck link, sent to your facilitator on WhatsApp. This is your final submission — if something is not in the deck, tell us where it is.

Why this one
Most people have never made a deck this way. It is the task you are most likely to use again on Monday.
